Reiki

Unfortunately we are unable to offer Reiki at the current time

What is Reiki?
The practice of Reiki is an original method of healing, developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th century, which is activated by intention. Reiki’s natural healing energy works on every level, not just the physical, and promotes the body’s regenerative self healing ability.

The Japanese word Reiki means ‘Universal Energy’. Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things and is vital to well-being. Known as ‘ki’ in Japan, ‘chi’ in China and ‘prana’ in India. Acupuncture, T’ai chi and Yoga are also based on the free-flow of this energy in a person.

Sessions are-

  • Free
  • Confidential
  • Held upstairs in the Crew office (up Anchor Close, just off Cockburn Street)

Unfortunately, since there is only one practitioner at present, we only have a limited number of spaces to provide this service. This means we have to operate this on a priorities basis, this means, that if this service is busy a waiting list may be operated.
Priorities are given in this order-

  • Clients already within the crew Support Service
  • Clients referred by another Drugs agency
  • Any remaining spaces may then be filled by others

Sessions last for one hour each and we ask the client to commit, as much as possible, to attending once a week for six weeks.
